The Christmas perennial The Gathering told the warm, inspiring tale of Adam Thornton who, facing a terminal illness, gave himself and his estranged family a final Christmas gift: each other. Now two Christmases have passed and Adam's widow Kate has taken over Thornton Industries and is wooed by a courtly financier. Kate's children fear he is more interested in the business than in Kate herself. Or, just maybe, has the season brought Kate the magic of romance?
